Group work

During the first week I started to already work with others who I knew in my mixed media and working together to create ideas.So then to go from being in my comfort zone to Having to work with completey new people who I haven't really spoke too was at first really challenging. However I think that was mainly because of  confidence and trying too get my ideas across  and not be in doubt of them. I can already see what I am going to learn from these experiences during unit X.

Unit X

A week of talks( Dave Haslam,Anna Rhodes from mac silk museum,,Luke Jurram,Sally Denton) and trips too different archives for inspiration.
We had a trip to the Blackpool illumination archive which was amazing it got my creative self going you could say.Especially from the materials which I was surrounded by.
They was materials such as; Wire,metal,glass and cables.
At first i was just focusing on the material in itself however that's where I was going of target in sampling so i went away looked at the images taken whilst on the trip and the shapes which these materials created and especially the cables and the bursts of colour shown below;
